What this bingo card generator does
It makes up to 30 different bingo cards at once, ready to print: classic US 75-ball cards, or cards filled from your own list of words for a classroom, baby shower, holiday party or meeting. Press Print cards and only the cards print, two to a letter-size page, in black and white.
How a 75-ball card is laid out
A US bingo card has 25 squares in five columns headed B, I, N, G and O, with a free space in the middle. Each column draws from its own 15 numbers:
| Column | Numbers | Squares |
|---|---|---|
| B | 1–15 | 5 |
| I | 16–30 | 5 |
| N | 31–45 | 4 + free space |
| G | 46–60 | 5 |
| O | 61–75 | 5 |
Each column picks its numbers without repeats, using your browser's cryptographic random generator with rejection sampling, so every number in a column is equally likely. Every card in a set is checked to make sure no two are the same.
How many different cards are there?
The order of the squares matters, since it changes which lines win. Four columns choose 5 of 15 numbers in order, and the N column chooses 4:
That's 552,446,474,061,128,648,601,600,000 different cards, so two cards matching by chance is practically impossible.
Worked example: a word bingo game
Type 30 summer words, one per line, and ask for 20 cards with a free center. Each card gets 24 of your 30 words in a random order. Because each card uses most of the list, players fill squares at a similar pace. With a much longer list, games take longer. To call the game, read the words in a random order. Our random number generator with "No repeats" can pick the order.
Limitations
- These are cards only. To call a numbers game, draw 1 to 75 without repeats.
- Word lists need at least 24 different entries (25 without a free space). Repeated words are counted once. Long phrases are shrunk to fit, so keep them short.
- Printing depends on your browser. If cards split across pages, set the scale to "Fit to page" or 90%.
- For a licensed charity or commercial game, use the card stock and rules your state requires.
